Indigenous Partners

Walking Together

The medicines, ceremonies, and ways of living shared during our retreats belong to Indigenous communities who continue to care for them today.

These traditions are not ours to speak for.

Our role is to create the conditions in which they can be encountered with humility, respect, and gratitude.

Relationship

Roots exists because of relationships.

Long before the first retreat was imagined, friendships were being formed, stories shared, and trust built.

Today, each retreat continues to be shaped alongside the Indigenous communities who make these gatherings possible. We each bring different knowledge, responsibilities, and perspectives, united by a shared commitment to creating a respectful experience for every guest.

Relationships come first. Everything else follows.

Small by Choice

We intentionally keep our retreats small.

Not only because it creates a more personal experience, but because it leaves space for genuine relationships to grow — with one another, with our team, and with the people who welcome us.

Trust is built through time, conversation, and shared experience.

Some things simply cannot be hurried.

Looking Ahead

We know we are only one small part of a much longer story.

Our hope is simply to care well for the relationships entrusted to us, to welcome each guest with respect and gratitude, and to honour the traditions that make these gatherings possible.

We arrive as guests.

We leave with gratitude.

Hands & Traditions

Some traditions are understood not through explanation, but through experience — through making, gathering, listening, and sharing time together.
